Trail Clean-up on CR120

A quarter mile portion of the trail along CR120 was trimmed by Spot Adopt-a-Trail volunteers and SPOT Board members.The trail was cleared of brush along the fence line at the dip in the road and trail just west of Salida, restoring the trail width and making it safer for both trail users and automobile drivers.

SPOT Adopt-a-Trail weed-out at McCormick Park

McCormick Park is “adopted” by the Chaffee County Department of Human Services (DHS).

A huge thank you to Mandy Jackson, DHS Chaffee County Benefits Team Lead, and three Cotopaxi High School seniors for their community service, which helps qualify them for high school graduation.

May 2, 2020 – Despite COVID, we had a busy spring with volunteers!

May 28, 2020 – Planting trees at the “Old Gun Club” Trail

Through a GOCO grant focusing on improvements to State Wildlife Areas, the CPW personnel invited volunteers to help plant trees along CR160, Thursday, May 28. Pictured are SPOT Adopt-a-Trail and local volunteers and CPW staff.
