The Chaffee County Transportation Board (TAB) is made up of community volunteers appointed by the County Commissioners to help discuss, research and advise concerning transportation issues in the county. SPOT is currently represented on this board.
As the county continues to grow and develop, multimodal connectivity is important as it concerns foot, automobile, and wheeled traffic movement and safety, while also offering a meaningful way to reduce the county’s carbon footprint and support environmental sustainability.
It is the vision of the TAB board to incorporate all county municipal transportation into a new master plan. TAB is working with the Chaffee County Commissioners and Planning Department to create a multimodal transportation plan that will be a chapter of the Chaffee County Comprehensive Plan.
