SPOT has a new project! SPOT has partnered with a third party to create a city friendly map for kids by kids. The idea originated from UNICEF’s Child Friendly Maps. It is going to be a value and asset-based map with input from 1st-6th graders from all schools in Salida. The project leader has been visiting students and collecting feedback on what kids like about maps and what features & locations they want on a local map. SPOT has agreed to be the non-profit fiscal agent for the project, which will include grant proposals and fundraising.
