McCormick Park is located behind the Salida Touber Building. It has two memorial benches and a trail that winds down to the Arkansas River and connects to the Salida River Trail. The park has been part of SPOT’s Adopt-a-Trail Project for several years and in 2025 it received a thorough renovation. Thanks to the Salida Parks Department, a plan was devised and carried out to perfection! With the inspiration of the trail adopters and the help of SPOT funding and city labor, a new staircase, picnic area, bench, and paved sitting areas are in place.
